Just a heads-up, y’all — Cassidy’s Daddy
October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month, and the title character in my novel is a little girl named Cassidy who happens to have Down syndrome. In case you don’t know, my cute, sharp, sassy daughter, Pearl, also happens to have Down syndrome!! (That’s her to the right, on her first day of preschool!) Pearl, along with a couple other little girls we know and love, was the inspiration for the character in my novel 🙂
